Weekly Message September 5, 2025

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
Yesterday, we opened the doors of A. Fantis for the first day of the school year. Together with our students, teachers, and families, we began with the Agiasmo service, blessing the year ahead with holy water. I shared with our students that “every good thing starts with prayer.” What a beautiful truth—not just for children, but for all of us.
As we now turn toward the first Sunday of the new Ecclesiastical Year, the Church reminds us that our entire life must begin with prayer. Every morning, every task, every season of life becomes more meaningful when we invite Christ into it. Just as the school year cannot begin without asking God’s blessing, so too our families, our work, and our daily decisions are strengthened when they are rooted in prayer. This weekend, I encourage you to join us in church and to begin this new year of ministry and community life in the same way—by placing it before God. Prayer is not only how we start, but how we continue, and ultimately, how we finish the race of faith.
With love in Christ,
