A. Fantis School

Why Choose A. Fantis School?

From the first tentative steps into preschool through the tears at eighth grade graduation, each class grows together.

The A. Fantis School of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Brooklyn has a rich history of developing boys and girls into upstanding young men and women ready to contribute to their community and the broader society. Our graduates matriculate from premier high schools and universities in New York City and beyond. A. Fantis is a small, tight-knit community, where generations gather in school and church as students, alumni, faculty, board members, parents and grandparents. Tucked away in flourishing, dynamic Brooklyn is a small, quiet community that maintains a small-town feel, where everyone knows who you are. From the first tentative steps into preschool through the tears at eighth grade graduation, each class becomes a close family that grows together and shares memories that span a decade. They grow to appreciate Fantis as “a second home”. In today’s increasingly hectic and global community, spending their formative years at Fantis and forming deep friendships is a treasure that they will carry with them for life.

The Saints Constantine and Helen Parishioner Engagement Program

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral will launch the Parishioner Engagement Program, a new tuition initiative designed to support our Orthodox Christian families while strengthening our life together as a parish.

At its heart, this program is not simply about financial assistance. It is about participation, commitment, and living out our faith together. Every good thing begins and ends with Christ, and this program invites our families to place Him at the center of their lives through worship, service, and community engagement.

What is the Parishioner Engagement Program?

The Parishioner Engagement Program is a tiered tuition initiative that provides financial benefits to families enrolled at A. Fantis School who actively participate in the sacramental and communal life of our Cathedral. Families may opt into the program each year and select a level of commitment that reflects their ability to engage in the life of the Church.

Program Tiers

Active Steward Participation — 33% Tuition Credit

  • Parishioners in good standing with baptized Orthodox Christian children enrolled at A. Fantis
  •  Regular participation in Divine Liturgy (at least once per month during the school year)
  •  Active enrollment and participation in Sunday School
  •  Active participation in Youth Ministries (HOPE, JOY, GOYA)
  •  Parent involvement in a church community committee

Foundation Family Participation — 10% Tuition Credit

  • Parishioners in good standing with baptized Orthodox Christian children enrolled at A. Fantis
  • Parent volunteer commitment of at least 10 hours at our Annual Festival.

How the Program Works

  • Families apply after confirming enrollment at A. Fantis School and opt into the program annually
  • Each family selects their desired level of commitment, which applies to all enrolled children. Tuition payments will reflect the selected tuition credit
  • Participation will be tracked by the Church Office through attendance and ministry involvement
  • A program audit will take place at the end of November, with follow-up communication in December
  • Any necessary tuition adjustments will be applied to the final tuition payments (January–April) based on actual participation

An Opportunity for Generosity

We also recognize that God has blessed our community in many ways. When you receive your application, you will have the option to generously donate the financial value of your tuition credit back to either the Cathedral or A. Fantis School. This extraordinary act of stewardship directly funds our ongoing expansion and helps ensure that our church and school continue to flourish for generations to come.

Whether through serving on a committee, supporting our Festival, participating in youth ministries, or simply being present in the Divine Liturgy, every act of engagement strengthens not only your family, but the entire Body of Christ.
