Weekly Message September 29, 2024
My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for joining us at our Welcome Picnic this past weekend. It was a true blessing to come together in fellowship and celebrate the beginning of a new season in our parish life. Your presence, whether familiar or new, brought so much joy, and it reminded me of the love and strength that we share as a community.
As we settle into our routines with the start of fall, I’d like to gently encourage all of you to consider the importance of regular church attendance. In the busyness of our daily lives, it’s easy to let our spiritual life take a back seat. However, creating a routine that includes coming to church each Sunday helps us stay rooted in our faith, grounded in prayer, and connected to God. When we come together to worship, we’re not only nourishing our own souls, but we are also strengthening our bond as a parish family.
I especially want to encourage our families to bring their children to church and to Sunday School. Our children are the future of this parish, and it is so important that they have a strong foundation in the faith. Sunday School is a wonderful opportunity for them to learn about Christ’s love, form friendships with their peers, and begin to understand the beauty of our Orthodox tradition. Make it a priority to bring them into the life of the Church, where they can grow in faith and love, just as we do.
I look forward to seeing you all in church in the coming weeks, and please know that my door is always open. Together, let’s make this season one of spiritual growth, fellowship, and love, as we continue our journey in faith as a family in Christ.
In Christ's Love,
