Weekly Message October 25, 2024

by Father Evagoras Constantinides on November 01, 2024

My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

This Sunday, we’re reminded in the Epistle reading about the spirit of being a “cheerful giver,” a call to generosity that comes from within our hearts. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, St. Paul writes, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” This message speaks not just to the act of giving, but to the joy and gratitude that accompanies it.

Just as we invest in the meaningful areas of our lives—our families, our homes, our education, and our well-being—our commitment to our church is equally significant. Supporting our parish’s ministries, worship, and community life is an investment in our faith and in each other. Together, we sustain a place where we gather, learn, serve, and grow in Christ.

In the coming months, we’ll explore the powerful role of stewardship within our parish. We’ll talk about how every act of giving—no matter the size—becomes part of something greater. This is just the beginning of a conversation about how we can all participate in nurturing the life and future of our beloved church.

In Christ’s love,
