My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,

This Sunday’s Gospel (Luke 8:5–15), the Parable of the Sower, invites us to reflect on how the Word of God takes root in our hearts—and how we can help it grow in others. Across the country, there’s a growing curiosity and interest in Orthodox Christianity. Even here in our own community, we’ve seen new families and faces drawn to the beauty, depth, and truth of our faith.

As these seeds are being planted, our role as a parish family is clear: to cultivate good soil. That means creating a community where faith can grow—through kindness, hospitality, encouragement, and love. Christ’s parable reminds us that when we nurture others with patience and care, God brings forth an abundant harvest.
