Weekly Message May 16, 2025

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,

Χριστός ἀνέστη! Christ is Risen!

This week I’ve had the profound blessing of traveling through Greece with our A. Fantis 8th grade students and their parents. What begins every year as an educational trip quickly revels itself to be something deeper—a true pilgrimage of faith.

For our students, each church, monastery, and ancient site brings to life the lessons they’ve learned in our A. Fantis school. They’ve lit candles in centuries-old chapels, venerated relics of the saints, and stood in places where our faith was born and preserved. These moments are shaping their understanding of what it means to be Orthodox Christians.

But this journey is not just transformative for them—it has been for me as well. To witness our students and parents experience the beauty and depth of our faith in such a powerful way has renewed my own spirit. Sharing in their awe and devotion has reminded me of why we do what we do—not only to pass down knowledge, but to build faith together, as a community.

I ask for your prayers as we continue our travels, and I look forward to being back with all of you this Sunday at the Cathedral, where we will once again gather as one family in Christ.

With love in the Risen Lord,
