Christ is Risen!
Beloved brothers and sisters,
Next Thursday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m., we will gather in the Church Hall for our next Philoptochos General Meeting.
Philoptochos is the philanthropic heart of our parish, bringing together women of the community who are committed to serving others through acts of charity, compassion, and care. It is one of the most meaningful ways to live out our faith in a tangible and impactful way.
So many of us give our time and energy to causes outside of the Church, which is a beautiful thing. But there is also so much we can do right here, together, as a parish family. Through Philoptochos, that work becomes not just individual, but communal—rooted in faith and shared purpose.
Whether you have been involved for years or are simply curious and looking for a way to get connected, this is a wonderful opportunity. Even if you don’t know anyone, come. This is how community is built. This is how connections are made.
The meeting will include:
Planning for our Church Name Day
Discussion of philanthropic initiatives and how we can support those in need
Updates on upcoming Philoptochos conferences
Formation of committees and leadership roles for key events, including:
Luncheon
Vasilopita
Poinsettia Sale
Fasolada
Easter Plant Fundraiser
Membership Committee
Spending Committee
Your presence matters. Your voice matters. And your participation helps shape the impact we can have as a community.
Come be a part of something meaningful.
With love in Christ
Fr. Evagoras
