Weekly Message March 28, 2025

by Father Evagoras Constantinides on March 28, 2025

Dear Beloved in Christ,

This weekend is filled with faith, fellowship, and community pride, and I want to personally invite each and every one of you to take part in the incredible events ahead!

Friday:

At 7:00 PM, we gather for the Service of the Salutations to the Theotokos, an essential part of our Lenten journey.

Immediately following the service, John Strzelecki will give a special mini-lecture on the sights and sounds of Holy Week, preparing us for the sacred days ahead.

That same evening, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of AHEPA 41 at Skínos—a milestone for an organization that has played a vital role in our Greek-American community!

Sunday – The Parade!

This is the moment for our entire Cathedral and School community to show up, stand together, and march with pride in the Greek Independence Day Parade! We are the historic Greek Orthodox community of Brooklyn—the first, the foundation—and we have accomplished so much this year. Now, it's time to show up, support, and celebrate all that we are!

Come one, come all! Bring your families, wave your flags, and walk with us as we honor our faith, our heritage, and our beloved community.

I look forward to seeing you this weekend for worship, celebration, and fellowship. Let’s make this an unforgettable weekend for our parish and school!

With love in Christ,
