Weekly Message January 3, 2025
My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we step into the new year, I pray that it brings you and your family peace, health, and countless blessings. The turning of the calendar is a moment to reflect on the past and look forward to the future—a chance to set our hearts and minds on the things that truly matter.
The Church invites us to begin the year by celebrating the Feast of Theophany, commemorating the Baptism of our Lord in the Jordan River. This feast reminds us of the great mystery of Christ’s divinity and the sanctification of all creation through water and the Holy Spirit. It is also the season of house blessings, a tradition that brings the grace of Theophany into our homes, sanctifying the spaces where we live, work, and pray.
If you would like your home blessed during this season, please reach out to the Church Office to schedule a visit. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring the light of Christ into your home and begin the new year with a renewed sense of His presence in your life.
As we embrace the blessings of 2025, I encourage you to make a resolution that has the power to transform your life: commit to consistent church attendance. Establishing a routine of coming to church every Sunday grounds our faith and strengthens our connection to God and one another. It is here, in His holy house, that we are renewed through prayer, the Gospel, and Holy Communion.
The new year is a gift from God, a chance to grow closer to Him and deepen our faith. May this year be filled with opportunities to grow spiritually, share His love, and live as faithful disciples of Christ.
With love as we begin this new year,
