Weekly Message December 20, 2024
My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Last night, our parish was blessed with the incredible voices of our A. Fantis children at the Christmas concert. Their joyful singing filled our hearts with the spirit of the season, and it was truly a night to remember. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our students—it means so much to them and to our historic Cathedral community. A special thanks to the leadership and teachers of A. Fantis School for their hard work and dedication in preparing such a beautiful event. You have our deepest gratitude!
As we approach the celebration of Christmas, I encourage you to make this holy season complete by bringing your family to church. Christmas is more than a celebration of gifts under the tree; it is the feast of our Lord’s birth, the moment when God became man for our salvation. This sacred event calls us not only to rejoice in our homes but to gather as a family of faith at the true feast—around His altar, partaking in His Holy Communion.
We will celebrate the Nativity of Christ with services on Christmas Eve at 5:00 PM and Christmas Day at 10:00 AM. These are moments of great joy and reverence, an opportunity to refocus on the true meaning of this blessed season. I urge you to make attending one of these services a priority for your family, offering thanks and praise to the One who gives us all good things.
May your Christmas break be filled with peace, love, and the light of Christ. As you gather with loved ones and celebrate, know that my prayers are with you. May the miracle of Christ’s birth fill your hearts with hope and joy, and may His blessings be with you now and always.
Wishing you and your family a most blessed and joyful Christmas,
