Holy Friday Youth Retreat at Saints Constantine and Helen Cathedral
Join us for a meaningful Holy Friday Youth Retreat at Saints Constantine and Helen Cathedral on Friday, April 10th from 10:30 AM to 1:45 PM in the Church Hall. The day will conclude with the Apokathelosis Service at 2:00 PM, which families will attend together.
This special retreat is open to children in UKP4 through 6th Grade, while 7th–12th graders are invited to serve as Retreat Captains and help lead the day. Through creative projects, thoughtful reflection, hands-on activities, and opportunities to serve, participants will prepare their hearts for Holy Friday and help beautify our church as we look ahead to the joy of the Resurrection. A Lenten lunch will be provided, and the retreat is absolutely free.
Children should come dressed in comfortable clothes they are not afraid to get a little dirty. There is no need to bring a change of clothes, as everyone will remain in their casual retreat attire for the Apokathelosis Service immediately afterward.
Parents are warmly encouraged to be part of this special day. Whether you are able to help lead a group, assist with activities, or simply be present and lend a hand, your involvement makes a real difference. Even if you cannot commit to volunteering for the full retreat, you are still welcome to stop by and join in the communal spirit of the day as we work together to prepare the church for Pascha. Families with younger children are also encouraged to come—everyone can participate in some way.
For parent volunteer information, please contact Mr. John at jstrzelecki@afantis.org.
We hope you and your family will join us for this prayerful, joyful, and hands-on day as we journey together through Holy Friday toward the light of Pascha.
