The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts is a solemn, penitential evening service in the Orthodox Church, celebrated during Great Lent on Wednesdays. It allows the faithful to receive Holy Communion without a full Eucharist, using gifts consecrated on the preceding Sunday. It combines Vespers with communion.
