Weekly Message March 24, 2024

by Father Evagoras Constantinides on March 22, 2024

Dear Beloved Parishioners,

The first week of Lent has passed, and I hope that is has been marked by moments of reflection, prayer, and fasting as we strive to draw closer to God.

Tonight, we gather for the beautiful service of the Salutations to the Theotokos. This deeply moving service offers us the opportunity to honor and seek the intercession of the Mother of God, asking for her guidance and protection throughout our Lenten journey. Over the next four weeks, we will gather weekly on Friday evening in prayer and contemplation as we pay homage to the most blessed among women. Please be sure to attend at least one of these amazing and uplifting services.

Tomorrow, we commemorate the Last Saturday of the Souls, a time to remember and pray for our departed loved ones. As we offer prayers for the souls of the departed, may we also take comfort in the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life in Christ. If you have not attended one, or have not yet submitted names of the deceased to be prayed for, plesdo so tomorrow!

As we continue through this holy season, we remain steadfast in our commitment to prayer, fasting, and acts of charity. Be a constant support to one another on this spiritual pilgrimage, encouraging each other to persevere in our efforts to grow closer to God and deepen our faith.

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all!!
