Weekly Message March 10, 2024

Dear Beloved Parishioners,

One of the amazing things about our community is the connections that we have, and the people we are honored to bring through our doors. We were honored to host Greek Member of Parliament Pavlos Geroulanos at our school, and we made a plan to meet up with him in Athens with the 8th Grade students to broaden our partnership.

In the spirit of tradition, we joyously celebrated Tsiknopempti, embracing the festivities as a community with souvlakia, fries and pita bread for every student. As we transition into the season of Lent, our dedicated team is hard at work preparing for the spiritual journey that lies ahead, and that begins tomorrow morning with the first Saturday of the Souls!

I am thrilled to announce that, during a recent meeting, the Board of Trustees entrusted key leadership roles to individuals committed to our parish’s growth. Join me in congratulating the newly appointed Executive Board members:

• President: Dean Paravalos

• Executive Vice President: Christos Argyriou

• 1st Vice President: Harry Paloumbis

• 2nd Vice President: Gregory Poulon

• Treasurer: Stavros Plangetis

• 1st Assistant Treasurer: George Fanourakis

• 2nd Assistant Treasurer: Dino Vassilakos

• Greek Secretary: Aphrodite Dikeakos

• English Secretary: Gerasimos Matiatos

• General Counsel: Nick Neonakis

As your spiritual father, I am honored to share the responsibility of leading our historic Cathedral with these dedicated individuals. Together, we look forward to guiding our community through the next two years with unwavering commitment and faith.

I eagerly anticipate seeing each and every one of you in church this weekend at our events and services as we continue our journey together. God bless you!
